Len Firth was commissioned as the vicar of St Augustine's Moreland in December 2009.
After study at Ridley College he worked as an Anglican minister for more than 30 years. Before coming to Melbourne, he served churches in WA, Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory and Hongkong.
Len is married to Jill (who is also ordained and serving at Moreland). They were CMS missionaries from 1988-2000. They have 3 adult children.
As Principal of St Andrew's Hall (2000-2007), he was responsible for training people in cross cultural missionary work. He was Archdeacon for Multi-cultural Ministry in the Diocese of Melbourne from 2008-2011.
Since 2008 he has been lecturing in Bible and theology at Ridley Melbourne  mainly to students from a non-English speaking background.
